ROLL CALL: Songwriter-Producer Career Defining Moments (Page 1)

Welcome to Amalgamation’s Annual Roll Call. For the first time, we actually had to turn down songwriters due to limited space. We are elated to have some 60 writers represented in this section; some relative newcomers, others more established. They are all talented, hardworking, and deserve acknowledgement from A&Rs, music supervisors, and others within the music creative community looking to collaborate.  Names are in alphabetical order.

The lyrical prowess of Al Sherrod “Arod” Lambert has garnered some high powered placements. A career defining experience for the lyric and top line songwriter was achieving a Top 10 hit on Billboard’s Hot 100 and his first professional session with Academy/Grammy Award winner Jamie Foxx. “Arod” has co-writes on recent singles for Ariana Grande (“The Way”), Fantasia (“Without Me”) and Michelle Williams (“If We Had Your Eyes.”)

Artist-songwriter-producer Alexander ‘Xplicit’ Izquierdo

Alexander “Xplicit” Izquierdo – AIX Music/BMG (ASCAP)

A talented lyricist and top line/melody writer, Xplicit is a co-writer on the following joints: Rihanna’s “No Love Allowed,” Kanye West featuring Jay Z and Big Sean’s “Clique,” and Selena Gomez’s “Forget Forever.”  Xplicit is working on new music for One Direction and Pop/Hip-Hop newcomer Kaptn, along with his own solo project.  He says, “It’s a very solid Hip-Hop album titled, Eskeerdo.”  His career defining moment: “The day I woke up and realized, ‘holy crap,’ I do music for a living.  It was the best feeling ever.”

Amber “Sevyn” Streeter – AmBee Street Publishing/CBE Publishing LLC/SonyATV Tunes LLC (ASCAP)

Singer-songwriter Amber “Sevyn” Streeter blazed her way into the music industry with her very first placement, “Yeah 3x,” on Chris Brown’s album F.A.M. E, which earned the artist a Grammy win.  She found more success co-writing hit singles for Ariana Grande (“The Way”) and Chris Brown (“Fine China”).  Sevyn is currently working on her debut album through Atlantic Records/Chris Brown Entertainment.



Anthez “A10CHUN” Williams – Everybody Needs A10CHUN Music Publishing (BMI)Layout 1

This young lyricist, top line writer says, “I personally don’t think I’ve had my career-defining moment yet.  But, I’ve been blessed to keep the company of some amazingly accomplished individuals in the music business (like his hit-making mentor, producer-songwriter Patrick “J. Que” Smith) and learning from their mistakes and triumphs.” Anthez is currently building his discography working with different writers, artists and producers to define his “sound.” For inquiries:



Anthony “The Beatbully” Tucker  – ToneBeatzPublishing/SonyATV (BMI) Layout 1

“The Beatbully” has produced songs for Meek Mills’ such as “House Party,” “Dreams” and “Nightmare (Intro)” and for Rick Ross “Stay Scheming.” Having two of the biggest club records (“Stay Scheming”) in 2012 and (“House Party”) in 2013, are career defining moments for Tucker. He continues to work with Meek Mills and Rick Ross, along with new production coming from Young Jeezy and T.I.  Contact



August 11 – August Rucker Music (BMI) Layout 1

A top line/melody writer, August’s writing credits consist of new music for Interscope recording artist Mateo including his song “After Dark,” Keli Nicole Price’s “Green Bicycle,” and Kalenna Harper’s “King of Mistakes.”  “My career defining moment is when I was in a session at Blakeslee Studio in North Hollywood and in walks R&B legend Raphael Saadiq.  Seeing him snappin’ his neck back and forth to one of my records was confirmation that I was headed in the right direction.”



Layout 1B.A.M. a.k.a. Brandon Alexander – Songs of Universal (BMI)/Bajun Beat (BMI)

Brandon is producer of the single “Stay” by Tyrese, which won Song of The Year at the recent Soul Train Awards and spent 11 weeks at No. 1 on the Urban AC chart.  “A career defining moment for me was seeing my song Number 1 on a chart; it was a very surreal experience,” says Brandon—who happens to have new music coming from Marsha Ambrosius (her first single “Without You” featuring Ne-Yo), two songs on Chris Brown’s X album (including Autumn Leaves featuring Kendrick Lamar), and three songs on Mario’s comeback project.

Bekuh BOOM’s affinity as a top line writer, vocal producer and recording artist have gotten her placements with Jordin Sparks (“Skippin’”) and Jessica Mauboy “Fill Me Up (Pop A Bottle).” Bekuh is collaborating on new songs for 2NE1, Trey Songz, and Cher Lloyd. “I’m always trying to be bigger and better,” she says. “I just want to change lives.”


Layout 1Berent Philip “BPM” Moe – BMG Chrysalis Scandinavia/(Tono)

Producer, songwriter BPM has gained an extensive international discography with co-writer and production credits for Lisa Miskovsky “Why Start a Fire,” Aleksander With “Pictures,” and Danish X-Factor winner Sarah “Okay.” BPM defines his career defining moment when he contributed to the remix for Norwegian artist Lene’s hot single “Unforgivable Sinner.”  BPM is currently working projects for Swedish artist Lisa Miskovsky and Eddie Timmons.  He credits his musical tastes and style to 80s acts like A-Ha, Depeche Mode, and Michael Jackson, along with Daft Punk.
