Rondor Music Publishing has an increasingly strong presence in Urban music. They have picked up Future, one of the hottest up and coming artists in the game. Future is signed to Epic Records, and his debut album, Pluto, is currently available in stores and on iTunes.
His current single, “Turn On the Lights,” has been receiving great response and is steadily climbing the charts. Future is also collaborating with Kanye West and Pusha T, and wrote on Pusha T’s first single,“Pain.” Future is also on DJ Khaled’s “Bitches & Bottles (Let’s Get It Started),” which features Lil Wayne and T.I., as well as Game’s “I Remember,” which features Young Jeezy. Rondor’s Executive Vice President of Creative, Kevin Hall, adds “Future is an exceptional writer. At any given time, he is featured on 4 or 5 singles.”
Rondor writer Bobby V. has released the first single from his upcoming album, Dusk Til Dawn, titled “Mirror,” which features Lil Wayne. Sly Jordan co-wrote the lead single from Kendrick Lamar’s major label debut, “The Recipe,” which features Dr. Dre. 2 Chainz’s current single, “Birthday Song,” which features Kanye West, was co-produced by Rondor writers Sonny Digital and Anthony Kilhoffer. “Sonny is a great producer, and this is just the beginning for him,” Hall says.
Rondor writer Andre “Briss” Brissett produced “New Day.” 50 Cent’s first single off his forthcoming album Street King Immortal. “New Day” features Dr. Dre and Alicia Keys and debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at #79. Hall is excited to announce that Rondor Music has done a deal with Anthony “T.A.” Tate’s Music Line Entertainment. The deal allows them to work with the incomparable Roscoe Dash and brand new R&B sensation K’La. Dash is featured on the Fat Joe single “Pride ‘N’ Joy,” alongside Kanye West, Miguel, DJ Khaled, etc. K’La just wrapped the video for her debut single “Blame,” which features Nas. Hall concludes, “As we celebrate our 50th year, it’s great to work with writers at a company with such a rich legacy.”
